"A curious culinary adventure incorporating a caveat against Lesser Literature and an instance of startling Sensibility," in which the main characters concoct a "white sauce" for dinner, made of a mixture of water and flowers. After its consumption, one of the characters dies and the remaining figures trim their Christmas tree with black ornaments and black candles. Illustrated with drawings by Gorey.
