The first violin part of the very rare first printing of the Overture of Mozart's best-loved opera, and perhaps the most famous Overture ever composed. 

Exceedingly rare, preceding Simrock's 1796 Bonn publication of the vocal score of the complete opera and the earliest edition of the orchestral score, by Au Magasin du Musique in Paris, in 1806. We have not traced any examples of the orchestral parts at auction or on the market. Worldcat records but one example of the parts in the US, at UPenn.
