A scarce and fine copy of this unusual work by Strauss. Sold together with an original recital program from a Boston Symphony Hall recital from the composer's 1904 American tour. On March 28, as pianist, the composer accompanied his wife, Pauline Strauss de Ahna, in a recital of lieder which concluded with a performance of Enoch Arden with David Bispham as the reader. During the 1904 tour, Strauss conducted the premiere of his Symphonia Domestica in NY and gave a total of 35 concerts and recitals. (Kurt Wilhelm, p. 298)
