Scarce complete set of engraved parts in superb condition, no markings or stains. Haberkamp (p. 318) lists this as the 1st printing by Artaria in its series of the Chamber Music of Mozart, using the same plates as the roughly contemporary 2nd independent edition.

Mozart entered this trio in his autograph work list on 9/27/1788: “Ein Divertimento a 1 Violino, 1 Viola, e Violoncello; di sei pezzi,” referring to the six movements which are among his most glorious works of chamber music. The composer himself was apparently a wonderful violist and first performed the notoriously difficult viola part of this Divertimento privately with Puchberb and later publicly in Dresden (13 April 1789) and Vienna (9 April 1790). The first edition was published in the year following Mozart's death, 1792.
