Interesting signed original Caruso purple pencil caricature of Wilhelm II, the last German Kaiser and King of Prussia, ruling the German Empire and the Kingdom of Prussia from 15 June 1888 to 9 November 1918. Executed on the verso of the lunch menu of 4 May, 1913 from the lavish trans-Atlantic ship "Kaiser Wilhelm II." Signed lower right "Enrico Caruso / K.W. II / May 1913." In fine condition, measuring 17.5 x 27.5 cm [6.75 x 10.75 inches]. From the collection of composer and pianist Constantin von Sternberg (1852 - 1924), who was George Antheil's teacher and who was apparently also a guest on board the ship.
