Ex libris Luisa Sormani Busca Arconati Visconti, with her bookplate on the front wrapper. Some light edge and corner wear and soiling, but overall in fine condition. Rare; WorldCat records only one copy, at the Royal Danish Library. 10 x 13.5 inches (25 x 34 cm).

The Bohemian composer Vojtěch Matyáš Jírovec (Adalbert Gyrowetz) wrote mainly wrote instrumental works, with a great production of string quartets and symphonies; his operas and singspiele numbered more than 30. His travels through Europe included meeting Mozart in Vienna, Goethe in Rome and Haydn in London and in 1804 he was appointed Vice-Kapellmeister of the Court Theatre in Vienna. He served as one of Beethoven's pallbearers in 1827.
