1962 signed photograph of the Russian pianist who studied with Leschetizky and Busoni and who was famed in particular for his Chopin cycles. He has inscribed across the image to Walter Mantani, conductor of the Midland Odessa Symphony (Texas): "To Walter Mantani, in remembrance of our artistic collaboration. A. Brailowsky, Jan. 27, 1962." Together with an unsigned photograph of Brailowsky (carrying a copy of the New Yorker) together with Mantani on January 25, 1962. Brailowsky performed Chopin's Piano Concerto no. 1 in E minor with the Midland Symphony on January 27, 1962. Mounting remnants and notes to the verso; overall very good. 10 x 8 inches (25.5 x 20.5 cm).
