Autograph signature from the legendary Austrian-Hungarian conductor who conducted the very first Bayreuth Festival and in 1877 shared the conductorship of the Wagner festival in London with the composer. Nicely mounted with a period postcard photograph. Together with a Postcard addressed to Richter from American soprano Lilian Blauvelt Pendelton. In the Autumn of 1901, Richter had sent Lillian Blauvelt to Bayreuth for an audition. Blauvelt made an enormous impression on Cosima and her daughter Eva, not only because of her musical ability, but also due to her striking personality and intelligence. Dated November 11, 1901 the "Gruss aus Bayreuth" postcard is a "thank you" to Richter for this introduction. Postcard somewhat creased, else fine.
