Mario [Giovanni Matteo de Candia]. (1810–1883). Autograph Letter. A scarce autograph letter from the legendary tenor, one of the most celebrated singers of the 19th century. Creator of Ernesto in "Don Pasquale," he sang all the major French and Italian roles of the period, often appearing opposite his wife, the great soprano Giulia Grisi.
