Uncommon signed album from the tragic jazz great whose intimate playing style established him as a great talent until his drug related death in 1988. His debut album, "Chet Baker Sings," in its 1957 release with a striking colored covered design, is signed on the back cover and dated 1964. Pacific Jazz PJ-1222. Slight edge wear and smudging to the signature, but overall in fine condition. 

From the library of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
