Signed photograph of the German soprano who sang in the Berlin premiere of Parsifal (1914) and appeared widely in the United States during the 1930's before becoming a professor at Indiana University. She is shown in a Wagnerian costume and has boldly signed and inscribed the photograph to Paul Heinecke, the U.S. director of the important music publishers Breitkopf & Härtel, dated March 31, [19]29. Some rubbing and scratches to the surface; overall in very good condition. 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm).
