Original signed photograph of the important Soviet composer, inscribed "To Vladimir Alexandrovich Fyodorov for good memory from Dmitry Shostakovich" and dated January 26, 1959. Together with a mailing envelope sent from Union of Soviet Composers, signed in a secretarial hand. Shostakovich was appointed the General Secretary of the Composer's Union in 1960. 11 x 17 cm; 4.3 x 6.7 inches.
