Original photograph of the German composer and theater conductor considered the "father" of the Berlin operetta, signed late in his life and dedicated to Viennese set designer Alfred Kunz. Lincke has dedicated the photograph to Kunz, "the excellent set designer for Frau Luna in Vienna" and has dated the signature Vienna, May 16, 1939. Frau Luna, Lincke's hugely successful 1899 operetta, remained popular through the early twentieth century and was made into a 1941 film.
