Exceedingly rare signed photograph of the masterful prodigy violinist, one of the very greatest of all fiddlers, who died tragically young. 8 x 10 glossy J. Abresch of NY photograph of Rabin with his violin - presumably the 1736 Guarneri renamed ‘the Rabin’ after his death - signed and inscribed at the age of 15 "To my little admirer / wishing you the best of health / Sincerely, Michael Rabin / July 10, 1951."  Light minor crease to lower right corner, small nicks the upper margin, otherwise in fine condition.  20.7 x 25.4 cm.

This is only the second signed Rabin photograph we have ever offered and one of only a handful of examples to have appeared on the market in the last 10 years.  A true prize for the collector of violinist autographs!
