Penned in blue ink along the lower margin, "Dinu Lipatti / le 26 Oct '46", presumably by the photographer E. Matter of Gstaad, whose has stamped the verso. This intimate portrait of the artist before an empty auditorium was apparently taken before a concert in Switzerland.
