Bloch, Ernest. (1880-1959). Autograph Signature.

A boldly signed autograph clipped from the bottom of a letter from the important Swiss-born American composer of Jewish ancestry, who studied violin with Ysaye in Brussels and whose most famous work is "Schelomo" for Cello and Orchestra. The letter from which this was clipped was apparently addressed to the violinist Joseph Szigeti, as this is from his collection. A later hand has dated the signature May 7, 1925, in red pencil. One crease; overall in fine condition. 8 x 2.25 inches (20.5 x 6 cm).
