Ownership signature "Everilda Esterhaz[y]" to the lower right corner of the titlepage, in the hand of Maria Anna Everilda Ursula Esterházy van Galántha (1791 - 1874), member of the of wealthy Esterházy family at whose remote estate Haydn spent much of his career as a court musician. A few small stains around the edges, else fine.



The Andante con variazioni in B flat major, Hob. XVII/12, contains four variations. Traditionally ascribed to Haydn, it is quite possibly a spurious work.
