Charming original jumbo cabinet card photograph of silhouette vignettes of the Austrian operetta composer and conductor, by silhouette artist Otto Böhler, signed and inscribed by Heuberger on the mount to the Italian composer Leone Sinigaglia. Heuberger is shown in seven small vignettes taking his seat, conducting with animated gestures, and bowing to his audience. He has inscribed at the foot, dated Vienna, 1898, and added a musical quotation of three measures from the waltz-duet "Geh'n wir in's Chambre separée," from his best-known operetta, Der Opernball. Photographic reproduction of the silhouettes by R. Lechner of Vienna and on the photographer's card. One large corner chip, some surface scratches, and scuffs on the verso; overall otherwise in very good condition. 9.75 x 7.25 inches (24.7 x 18.3 cm).

Its premiere was at the Theater an der Wien, Vienna, Austria, on 5 January 1898. The operetta remains in the repertoire of German-language opera companies.
