He has signed boldly in blue ink at the foot of a typed sheet bearing a description of the ballet Walpurgis Night, originally choreographed by Leonid Lavrovsky for the Bolshoi Ballet in 1941. Balanchine's own similar ballet, Walpurgisnacht Ballet, was premiered as part of a 1975 production of Gounod's Faust. Folding creases and some light edge wear; overall fine. 8.5 x 11 inches (21.8 x 28.1 cm).
