Original photograph of the important violinist, oboist and conductor as they "discuss the oboe solo of the second movement in the Brahms Violin Concerto," in rehearsal with the Philadelphia Orchestra, ca. 1950's. Stamped by the photographer, Adrian Siegel, on the verso, with a hand-written caption. Slightly buckled with mounting remnants to verso; some small edge tears; overall very good. 10 x 8 inches (25.5 x 20.6 cm).

Considered the founder of the American school of oboe playing, Marcel Tabuteau was principal oboist of the Philadelphia Orchestra from 1915 to 1954.
