Photographer and writer Duncan Preston Schiedt, was an internationally known figure in jazz circles and author of four books on jazz. His photographs have appeared worldwide in publications, on record albums, art exhibitions, films, and at jazz festivals. His photographs, now comprising the Duncan Schiedt Collection at the Indiana Historical Society, feature artists such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and many others.
