A young black woman, half length against a neutral background, wearing a feathered headdress and a pearl necklace with earrings. The first state (of two), engraved by Cornelis van Dalen the Younger after the painting by Govert Flinck, and published by Cornelis van Dalen the Elder, published before the addition of the Blooteling address. Small horizontal tear to the left edge, two unidentified collector's signs penned to the lower margin and upper left quadrant. Fine. 8 x 10.5 inches (21 x 26.4 cm), tipped to a larger sheet with some cataloging notes in pencil. Archivally framed in an ornate gold frame to an overall size of 18 x 23 inches.
