Signed halftone photograph from the important violinist, taken from a 1956 issue of Musical America magazine and advertising Totenberg's performances. He has signed in later life at the right edge in black marker. Very fine. 9.5 x 12 inches (24 x 31 cm).

Totenberg studied with Flesch and Enesco, toured with Szymanowski and Rubinstein and introduced major works by Milhaud, Schuman, Hindemith, Barber, Martinu, Honegger and Penderecki. He performed into his late 80's and continues to teach in Boston in his late nineties.
