"Invited by the German film director Rainer Werner Fassbinder to create a poster as well as a record cover for the soundtrack to his film Querelle, Warhol visited the set while he was in Berlin (March 2, 1982) and noted in his diary: 'We went over to where Fassbinder was filming this movie called Querelle by Genet. Brad Davis is the star of it . . . Met Fassbinder and he was wearing outrageous clothes . . . he looked like a circus trainer. And Brad Davis looks so strange, so delicate-looking."
