Paul Kochanski was appointed concertmaster of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 14, and toured European capitals with his good friend Arthur Rubinstein in 1907.  Starting in 1924, he taught violin at Juilliard, where he stayed until dying of cancer in 1934.
