Schumann, Clara. (1819–1896). Signed Photograph. Signed Wehnert-Beckmann of Wien cabinet photograph of the great pianist and composer, who has inscribed to verso, translated from the German, "To Herr Kallo [Katto?] / with friendly memories of Clara Schumann / Berlin, 17 May 1862."  Mild toning and edgewear, overall in fine condition.  2.5 x 4 inches (6.35 x 10.2 cm.).

Though uncrossed, we think it a strong possibility that the double letters in the name of the dedicatee are "T" and that the inscription may be to the noted Belgian engraver and music publisher J.B. Katto.
