[Metropolitan Opera] Chagall, Marc. (1887–1985). Signed Metropolitan Opera Postcards - Framed Ensemble.
Set of two signed Metropolitan Opera postcards, reproducing the artist's lithograph for the 1966 production of Bizet's Carmen (translating a detail from his “The Triumph of Music”, which remains on exhibit at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York), and the 1967 production of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, for which Chagall had also composed the set and costume designs. Each signed "Marc Chagall" across the lower margin in pencil.  Nicely framed to 19 x 17 inches (48.3 x 43.2 cm.) and matted to resemble the Metropolitan Opera's famous arches. Unexamined out of frame but in apparently fine condition.
