Erté. (1892-1990). "Woman as Fantasy" - Signed Souvenir Program.
Signed souvenir program for the Costumes of the Latin Quarter exhibit that ran at the Boston Center for the Arts from November 15, 1978 to January 15, 1979.  The French artist Erté provided the cover art, a striking illustration of a woman in bright orange feathers, and he has inscribed "To Paul / Erté" in black ink to the first page.  Light wear to spine, overall in fine condition.  8.5 x 11 inches (21.6 x 28 cm.).

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
