Waltzes are ordered by opus number. Oblong folio. 146 pp. Engraved unless stated otherwise. All pages evenly trimmed to 13 x 9.75 inches (33 x 25. cm). Identical hand stamp of "F. Ries Dresden Königl. Hof-Musikalienhandlung" to foot of all title pages. Contemporaneous binding in brown Morocco with ornaments and edges in gilt. Lettering, "FLORENCE M. PRATT.", in gilt to upper board, probably the name of the volume's first owner. In very good condition overall. Contents:

The identical hand stamp to all titles as well as more or less identical publisher's catalogues to the final pages of some of the lithographed editions suggest that all 12 items were bought at the same time and probably bound soon after. Dates of composition range from 1850 to 1869, but the publisher's catalogue to the final pages of the lithographed items extends to Op. 379 (1878). The engraved items are somewhat older, but even the edition of the earliest waltz here, Lava-Ströme, advertises other waltzes up to Op. 314 (1867) on its title.
