Signed score of "Edges: A Portrait of Robert Indiana" for piano (1966).  Unbound upright quarto.  [PN] 47262.  5 pp.  Inscribed, "For Steve Juscik / Virgil Thomson" to head of page 3.  12 x 9 inches (30.5 x 23 cm).  Somewhat bumped to corners; in very good condition overall.

Visual artist Robert Indiana (born Robert Clark, 1928–2018) was attracted to Thomson's music from the 1950s.  In 1965, Thomson asked him to design the sets and costumes for a production of his opera The Mother of Us All, on a libretto by Gertrude Stein, at the UCLA. Indiana turned down the request, but two years later, Thomson renewed it, and the collaboration finally materialized, this time in Minneapolis.
