Sheet music from the 1961 Inaugural Ball for the song "Jacqueline" written in honor of the First Lady by Hilda Emery Davis with lyrics by Ginia Davis as commissioned by Meyer Davis, inscribed on the front cover "To Meyer with all good wishes" and signed "Jacqueline Kennedy". With letter of explanation from Emery Davis, son of the composer, who conducted one of the inaugural orchestras and notes that he "had the pleasure of playing the song 'Jacqueline' several times during the evening." 9 x 12 inches. A few small spots and scratches, small tear to lower edge, else fine. 

Meyer Davis was a society musician in the 1920s to 1960s who at the height of his career owned and operated over 80 bands with more than 1,000 musicians playing for him.  He played a wide range of events from balls to presidential galas and had played every Inaugural ball from Warren Harding before this event, when he was assigned to place all the orchestras for the Kennedy Inaugural Ball. He had also played for the Kennedy wedding in Newport, RI in 1953.
