Kirmair, Friedrich Joseph. (1770–1814) [Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus. (1756–1791)]. Variations on Mozart. Kirmair was a celebrated pianist who appeared throughout Europe at the turn of the 19th century. In 1795, he was appointed music master to the Queen of Prussia and from 1803, was chamber musician to the Duke of Saxe-Gotha. He also published numerous works for the piano-forte.
