Ponselle, Rosa. (1897-1981). Early Signed Photograph. A striking original doubleweight Lumiere photograph, boldly signed in white ink by the great soprano and dated 1921. One of the finest early images of Ponselle we've seen, this photograph was signed in New York, just three years after her historic Metropolitan Opera debut opposite Caruso in La Forza del Destino. Also signed by the photographer, 18 x 23 cm and in very fine condition.
