An interesting communication from the great soprano, addressed to Franco Fano, the Milan agent, impresario, and cosmopolitan editor of Il mondo artistico (The Artistic World). In English: "Very surprised at erroneous announcement in your paper report that Coronation Concert is to be my Farewell Concert. Untrue Please Contradict Same = Adelina Patti Baroness Cederstrom." Undated, but probably 1903. 1 page, torn portion from address panel, not affecting body of telegram. Sold together with a vintage portrait print, ca. 1890 (19.5 X 30 cm). Unsual!
