Bellson, Louie [Luigi Paulino Alfredo Francesco Antonio Balassoni]. (1924 - 2009). Small Collection of Signed Items and Ephemera. A very interesting grouping of items from the influential jazz drummer, composer, arranger and bandleader. As follows:

1. 8 x 10 inch photograph, signed "All my Best, Louie Bellson" in gold ink.
2. Signed 1979 Contract Agreement for the Slingerland/Louie Bellson National Drum Contest. 14 pp. Signed on the final page by by Slingerland President, Larry Linkin and by Louie Bellson.
3. Four 8 x 10 inch original promotional photographs of Bellson performing on different drum sets, at various stages of his career.
4. Quad-City Times, Dec. 7, 1978. Full page feature article on Bellson.
5. 1946 Drummer's Roll Chart by Louie Bellson. 4-fold 8 x 10 inch pamphlet, which folds out into large chart, with commentary on features of drumming.
6. Three different original doubleweight photographs from a Nixon Whitehouse Duke Ellington birthday celebration, showing President Nixon with Bellson, Ellington, Clark Terry, Dave Brubeck, Earl Fatha Hines, Paul Desmond, Billy Taylor, Zoot Sims, Joe Williams, Urbie Green etc.
7. Rare 1952 33-1/2 RPM LP: Just Jazz All Stars featuring Louis Bellson [Willie Smith, Harry Carney, Wardell Gray, Juan Tizol, Clark Terry, Billy Strayhord, John Graas, Wendell Marshall. Capitol H-348.
