An attractive Art Nouveau-designed page with the date 1913, signed at the foot by the great Hungarian composer and pianist. A central image of two swans is surrounded by floral designs; the date, circular border and decorative motifs below are printed in gold. Bartok has inscribed at the head to "Bartók Ilonának" and signed in green ink at the bottom "Béla Bartok." Folding creases with some small losses and tears at the edges; overall in very good condition. 5 x 7.5 inches (12.5 x 18.9 cm).

"Bartók Ilonának” is for "Ilona Bartók,” a relation of the composer who studied piano at the Academy of Music Budapest with Béla Bartók, chamber music with Leo Weiner, and composition with Zoltan Kodaly.
